Two General Post Office letter carriers proudly wear the campaign medals denoting their service in Africa for Queen and country.

The standing veteran of the Anglo-Boer War wears the Queen's South Africa Medal with two clasps and the companion King's South Africa Medal with its obligatory pair of clasps. The seated carrier wears the East & West Africa Medal with a single clasp.

Both men wear their carrier numbers on their collars along with the intertwined "GPO" cipher of the General Post Office.
