Above: This lad was not a drummer boy in the true military sense but possibly the son of a serving soldier who may in fact have been a drummer himself. Besides the drum and bugle, he wears a glengarry cap with the diced band associated with a Scottish regiment. The negative appears to be dated to some time in 1917.
