Above: Slightly blurred and overexposed (possibly due to the bright outdoor setting and the bride's white dress) this glass plate negative commemorates a British sergeant's long-forgotten wedding day. Due to the above-mentioned overexposure and blurring, his regimental collar badges and shoulder titles cannot be made out. The fact that this sergeant is wearing a foreign service pattern frock hints to an overseas - possibly Indian - location for the wedding.
The sergeant wears a crossed rifle marksmanship badge on his left cuff.
