A mounted Woodburrytype photograph taken from The South African Campaign of 1879  by MacKinnon and Shadboldt of Lieutenant, the Honourable Standish William Predergast Vereker of the Natal Native Contingent. He was killed in action on 22 January 1879 at the Battle of Isandlwana during the first invasion of Zululand.
