Soprano Rosina Van Dyck of the Metropolitan Opera Company as one of Brünhilde's lesser known sisters Ortlinde from Wagner's Die Walküre. Very little biographical information regarding Rosian Van Dyck has been found.
The daughter of Hendrik Van Ophemert and Martha van Ophemert-Schwenke, she was born on 13 January 1879 as Rosina Elisabeth Van Ophemert, she was active during the early 20th Century. She apparently performed supporting roles in various Metropolitan Opera Company productions including that of the Dew Fairy in a 1911 production of Hänsel und Gretel. Married in 1903, in 1916 she was granted a divorce from her husband Richard Hageman - himself noted for his musical compositions heard in such classic John Ford
westerns as Stagecoach (1939), Fort Apache (1948), 3 Godfathers (1948), and She Wore a Yellow Robbon (1949) - and was granted alimony payments of $30.00 a week.
