Bloemfontein March was composer Fabian Scott's commemoration of the 13 March 1900 capture of Bloemfontein by British forces.  A gray scale sketch by Richard Canton Woodville in the center piece of the cover and is surrounded by strikingly red decorative elements that include title and credit lines. The small red vignette to the right of Woodville's illustration appears to shows a wagon under guard somewhere on the veldt. Rather inextricably the vignette on the left depicts one of Kitchener's river gunboats shelling Khartoum during the Omdurman Campaign of 1898 and has nothing to do with the Anglo-Boer War.
