Kings Liverpool Good Templar.png

An unidentified private of the King's (Liverpool) Regiment and proud member of the International Order of Good Templars.

He could be a member of either the 1st Battalion of the King's or the 2nd Battalion since each was stationed in India during the very early years of the 20th Century.

The International Order of Good Templars (I.O.G.C.) was a temperance society that had its origins in America before making its way to British India. There is some confusion about this organization since it adopted regalia and practices reminiscent of Masonic societies.
