Four cyclists proudly pose with their mechanical steeds. The two soldiers on the ends are members of the 3rd (The King's Own) Hussars. The two soldiers in the center are members of the 2nd Battalion, the Gordon Highlanders. Their regiments are signified by the tiger collar badges as well as the Scottish doublets and tartan trews of the Highlanders and the Hanoverian horse collar badges of the 3rd Hussars.
The 3rd Hussars were stationed in India between 1902 and 1907. The 2nd Gordons were there between 1902 and 1912.
A special thanks to Mr. Graham Stewart for his help in identifying the regimental affiliation of these soldiers.
