A fine portrait of five veteran soldiers of an unidentified regiment taken in Colombo, Ceylon (Sri Lanka) sometime around 1900.

The men all sport what appears to be the ribbon for the India General Service Medal as well as various combinations of good conduct stripes and qualification badges. These include the crossed rifles denoting qualified marksmen and the crossed flags of a signaler.
