Carte de Visite Formatted Tintype (Ferrotype)
Unknown Photographer
Hamilton, Bermuda

c. 18

lthough bearing no direct indication as to the original photographer may have been or the identity of the subject, I believe this carte de visite formatted tintype was taken in Hamilton,
Bermuda by the same photographer who created the similarly styled tintype of a Royal Artillery gunned featured in this same section of Soldiers of the Queen.  This image depicts an
unidentified soldier wearing a white five button summer or tropical service frock. His pillbox type forage cap which rests on the studio chair next to him appears to have a white cover.

The image has some rust related blistering along its right hand side of a type commonly found on metal plate photographs which have been stored in damp locations.
