| An unidentified soldier kitted out for cold winter weather. The photographer produced an interesting "special effect" with the simulated snowfall. It is very probable that this soldier was a member of the 2nd Battalion, the Duke of Wellington's West Riding Regiment which was stationed in Halifax during this time period.
