| An unidentified officer of what appears to be the 1st Battalion, Princess Charlotte of Wales Berkshire Regiment. Although the dragon badge on this officer's forage cap does not exactly match others of the Berkshire Regiment that I have seen it is very much similar. The only other regular British regiment that used a dragon were the Buffs (old 3rd Foot). The Buff's dragon badge was of the winged Welsh style and bears no real resemblance to the badge on this man's cap. The 1st Battalion of the the Berkshires were in Egypt/Sudan in the 1882-85 period.
