| A Staff Sergeant of the Inspectors of Military Schools. He wears a double clasp 1854-95 India General Service Medal which would seem to indicate that this man served in one of the regular regiments prior to joining the Inspectors of Military Schools. His position within the Inspectors is denoted by the badge on his forage cap consisting of the royal cypher "VRI" surmounted by a crown. Cabinet Photograph R. E.
