When first viewed the first word that may come to mind is "piper" since this mas clearly wear the uniform of a
musician and is a member of a Highland regiment but under close examination he clearly has a drum insignia on his
right sleeve which reminds us that all Highland regiments hand bandsmen other that their famous pipers. This man
wears a fine and somewhat understated uniform and displays a four clasped Queen's South Africa Medal and the
double clasped Kings South Africa Medal for his service in the Boer War.
