A tantalizingly unidentified member of the 21st Hussars. The inscription shown below give this Hussar's name which I just cannot make out. His first initial is "A". The first letter of his surname is "L". There is an "i" in the middle and it seems to end with a "ey". I assume that the two initials before the 21st Hussars are "H. M." for Her Majesty's. I hope to decode the rest of his name soon and I am sure that when I do it will be so obvious that embarrassment will prevent me from ever admitting that I could not figure it out to begin with.
