2673 Sergeant John Madden of the 4th Battalion, 60th Rifles. Madden was promoted to sergeant on 14 February, 1877. He served in "E" Company and died of unknown causes on 26 September, 1880. He inscribed the reverse of the photograph "With kind regards" to an unknown recipient  on 15 March, 1880 a only a few months before his death.
