A veteran Royal Engineers Sergeant. His turban indicates that he may have been attached to an Indian Army
regiment or perhaps he was simply having fun. He wears the ribbons of the India General Service Medal and what
appears to be the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. His sword appears to be of a non-regulation type for an
British NCO.  The setting and backdrop are outstanding a seeming hallmark of this photographer.
