Anglo-Boer War. Based upon the location of where the this negative originated and the fact that this soldier wears
sphinx collar badges it appears that he was a member of the Dorsetshire Regiment or possibly one of that regiment's
volunteer battalions. This negative was one of several of a group of associated Dorsetshire images acquired at the
same time and from the same source.
