| Robert Newton as Private Bill Sykes in the 1951 production of Soldiers Three. An adaptation of Kipling's work the film starred Walter Pidgeon, Stewart Granger and David Niven in addition to Newton. Best know for his portrayal of Long John Silver in the 1950 production of Treasure Island it is interesting to note that Newton's character in Soldiers Three bears the same name - with a slight variation in spelling - that his notorious character did in David Lean's 1948 production of Oliver Twist - Bill Sikes.
