| With an air of almost swaggering self confidence this young man looks to be wearing a variation of a rifleman's uniform though brass buttons would not be standard issue on a rifle uniform. It is possible that his uniform is in fact a miniature version of a line infantry regiment uniform with scarlet tunic and dark blue trousers. Carte de Visite W. H.
