| Dressed in a miniature version of his father's uniform, this little Yeomanry trooper hardly looks enthused at the goings on that he is part of though his pose certainly seems relaxed. Boer War-era images of children dressed in Imperial Yeomanry uniforms while rare seem to have be quite popular. This practice hearkens back to the American Civil War when it became the height of fashion to photograph male children in the colorful uniforms of Federal or Confederate Zouave volunteers or the more general practice of dressing boys in sailor suits.
