| The monogrammed badge on this staff sergeant's forage cap seems to mark his as a staff member of the Inspectors of Military Schools. He wears the India General Service Medal with tow clasps which would seem to indicate that this man served in one of the regular regiments prior to joining the Inspectors of Military Schools. His position within the Inspectors is denoted by the badge on his forage cap consisting of the royal cypher "VRI" surmounted by a crown. Cabinet Photograph R. E.
